Comedian Druski has currently been named in a revised lawsuit filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs. The case was initially filed in late 2023, by Ashley Parham, who alleges violent sexual assault, was held against her will, and abused during an incident in 2018. Read this article further to learn more about the case, who else is involved, and how Druski has responded to the claims filed against him.
Who Is Druski?
Drew Desbordes, professionally known as Druski, was born on 12th September 1994. He is an American actor, comedian, and influencer. He has collaborated with musicians such as Drake, Jack Harlow, Lil Yachty, and many others in his music videos. Broadly known for his wacky comedy, Coulda Been Records is now controversial because of a lawsuit that includes serious allegations, although he had denied everything of them.
Allegations & Legal Developments In The Diddy Case
The initial diddy case, i.e., the first lawsuit was filed in October 2023, in which a woman, Ashley Parham, accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of heinous crimes against her, which include: sexual assault and physical abuse, kidnapping, threatening, and intimidating her. Later names like Odell Beckham Jr. and Druski were added to the case.
According to Parham, she met Shane Pearce in early 2018 at a bar, who introduced her to Diddy and others who were involved in violent gang rape. She claimed that Parham mentioned a rumor that Diddy was involved in the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur (1996), which reportedly triggered a wave of retaliation.
Then a month later, in March 2018, she was persuaded to Pearce’s apartment in Orinda, California, where the brutal attack had happened. She claimed that there was an attempt to cover up the incident afterward. She also said she was threatened with death and was asked to stay silent.
Diddy denied all accusations calling the case baseless and a money grab, and later filed a counterclaim against Parham’s lawsuit, claiming defamation.
Druski’s Carrer
Initially, he used to post comedic skits on his Instagram handle, “druski2funn,” but later changed to Druski. He plays roles of humorous characters like Kyle Rogger, and Bubba Joe. His creative comedic style has rapidly gained attention and worldwide recognition.
Druski’s career took off when he started working with Jack Harlow. He further made appearances in music videos for artists like Drake, Lil Yachty, and Chlöe, after his cameo appearances in the music industry have helped him solidify his status as an entertainer, not just a comedian. Over the years, Druski has expanded his career into various areas, including:
Comedy Tours
He had toured with Jack Harlow, J. Cole (in 2021), Chris Brown (in 2022) and Lil Baby. Then in 2023, he headlined his first solo comedy tour, Coulda Woulda Shoulda, a mixed blend of standup and live-auditions.
Coulda Been Records
First launched in 2019, Coulda Been has begun as a satirical talent show, streamed live on Instagram. With time, it has now evolved into a wholehearted entertainment venture. The brand now releases 8-10 episodes where participants compete for the series. It has now attracted many top artists like Drake, Jack Harlow, and Ice Spice to join his streams.
Brand Partnerships
His success in entertainment and music has led him to many brand partnerships like Bud Light, KFC, and Google Pixel, and he has collaborated with Call of Duty, Beats By Dre, AT&T, Amazon, Meta, Mountain Dew, and Pepsi on ad campaigns. He is also a shareholder in Happy Dad Hard Seltzer and promotes it through his livestreams and social media.
TV & Film Appearances
He made his film debut in House Party (2023) and Praise This (2023), produced by Will Packer. He has also appeared in Grown-ish and is working on multiple TV and film projects as an executive producer.
Druski Responds After Being Named In Diddy’s Lawsuit
In the last few hearings, Parham accused Druski, that during the alleged assault, he was instructed by Diddy to attack her, jumping over her and coating her with lubricant against her will. In response, Druski denied all the allegations, calling them “a fabricated lie”, and saying he wasn’t a public figure back then, he expressed grief and sympathy for the victim and belief that the truth will come to light.
Diddy’s legal team has condemned the case as an attempt to gain headlines and money, arguing that he was not even in the nearby location during the incident. The case also claimed that people tried to intimidate Parham after the assault, and the members of Comb’s circle covered up the alleged crime.
Wrap Up
As the case continues to evolve, there are still unanswered questions about the new names that were involved in the lawsuit. However, Druski and others have denied each and every allegation filed against them, but further proceedings will make it clear. For now, these allegations have fueled rumors about celebrity liability. Whether these claims are legit or not, the case will surely remain in the headlines for some time.
